I am a proud Dja Dja Wurrung and Yorta Yorta Blak Fulla (They/Them) based in Wurundjeri Country (Melbourne).
I am a multi-media artist with a main focus on digital media. I explore the themes of Blakness and Queer Identity in my practice and I am heavily inspired by the ’80s, ’90s, and early 2000s artists, rap, hip-hop, and pop culture. Keith Haring and Basquiat are the biggest inspirations in my work.
I don't have too much of a connection to my home country due to personal reasons I do not want to discuss. In Melbourne, I like to engage with the First Nations community by offering my artist or labour services to help out in any way they need.
My art is about gender, sexuality, body and identity. I've always made art but it wasn't until 2021 that I wanted to do it professionally. It feels good to know that I'm making art that people can see themselves represented in especially because when I was growing up I didn't have art that I could relate to.
I get inspiration from collecting music or going to see live music. I'm also inspired by comic books and animation, especially vintage art, as well native flora and fauna.
